How does the matching work?

Our matching engine compares the hirer's placement requirements against operative profiles across discipline, roofing system experience, manufacturer approvals, location, availability and certifications. Each match is scored as a percentage — 96% means near-perfect alignment.
What does verification involve?
+
Operative verification covers identity, right to work in the UK and CSCS card status. Hirer verification is done against Companies House — no unregistered companies on the platform. Verified profiles receive a badge and rank higher in search results.
What are the platform fees?
+
Hirers pay a sliding scale fee — 30% for the first 2 days, 20% for a weekly rate, 15% after 7 days. Subcontractors pay a flat 5% on all contract values. Operatives pay nothing — ever.
What is the anti-circumvention clause?
+
All users agree to a 6 month anti-circumvention clause. You cannot work directly with someone you were introduced to through the platform for 6 months from your last interaction. This protects fair dealings for everyone on the platform. A breach carries a £500 per operative penalty.
How are payments processed?
+
All payments are processed securely through Stripe Connect. Operatives receive their full agreed day rate directly. Platform fees are handled separately between the hirer and the platform. You never see deductions from your rate.
